Provoking Perspective

That which doesn't kill me...

You thought I was finished
When you left me for dead.
That I would never get up,
I would never raise my head.

That is why it must be surprising
To see me back so soon again.
Charging ahead to fight you
Without even a trace of pain.

I feel stronger than ever now,
I am ready for another bout.
I have learned my best lessons
When I was down and out.
